My Friend, My Flower
Categories: [Artistic]  [flowers photos]   My Friend, My Flower - 2026-05-31 09:18:35

PLEASE NOTE: This is a re post of an earlier photo. I'm improving my skills in Lightroom RAW-processing and have tried some new settings. I think the result is better. The photo is a bit sharper and not so noisy. What do you think? Please give me your comments and suggestions. I would like to become a better flower photographer =)What do you think about the two soft pink "blupps" down in the left corner? Do they add something to the photo or are they just disturbing? Removing them would make the photo a bit cleaner.

Hope you like this flower photo. I like the colors and the way the two flowers are looking at each other. The heavy purple colors matches the softer green really nicely. Please give me your best comments.

I have some more of my flowers at Nordic Flower. Please have a look at them and tell me if you like them.

  • You are right perfectly: this one is really better than the preceding one. Clearness and returned colors made there much. Forgiveness for my English... ;)

  • looks like a mirroir. very good dof.
    hoveeto @ 2026-06-06 14:32:19
  • While the colours are more realistic on this one, i think you have unavoidably included a magenta colour cast on this. Perhaps a curve layer to up the green channel while masking away its effect on the petals might do the trick.

Anyway, there are few flower photos that look as good with the camera behind the flower. =) cheers

  • I like the two flowers - one in focus and one out of focus. RAW is definitely the way to go. The edges almost look a little too sharp though. Great backlighting too!
